Nanny / Housekeeper

**EXPERIENCED NANNY / HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED IN BULIMBA**

We have two lovely families that require a Nanny / Housekeeper to care for 2 x 10mth old boys and on occasions a 4 year old little girl (who attends daycare). This is a shared care position, whereas the children are from 2 different families that jointly require care for their children, that live in the same suburb (working mostly from one home only). Their current nanny has been with them for 3.5years.

You must have at least 5 years’ experience within the childcare industry and be familiar with the milestones for this age group and beyond. Someone that has a passion for early childhood education and engaging the children in developmental activities and games, both indoors and outdoors.

You will be very organised, tidy and a great communicator, patient, kind and caring. Someone that has experience with children’s nutrition would be highly regarded as would be someone that practices the Magda Gerber/Janet Lansbury model of RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and / or experience as a Montessori teacher.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you will have 2 boys and on Wednesdays and Fridays only 1, and on occasions on Fridays the little girl.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

- Caring for the children and facilitating their days
- All childcare related duties
- Keeping the children in a good routine
- Researching and facilitating developmentally appropriate games and activities
- Toy and book rotations and creating invitations to play/playscapes in the play areas
- Tidying living areas and children’s bedrooms as required
- Providing updates and communication to both families
- Washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry
- Changing linen and towels
- Organising pantry, fridge, and toy storage.
- Wardrobe management
- Occasional cooking and baking

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years’ experience as an early childhood educator, nanny or Kindergarten Teacher
- Vaccinated - Covid-19, Flu, Whooping Cough
- Experience in cooking, baking, and gardening would be highly regarded (for the children’s activities)
- Occasional babysitting required on weekends / evenings on an ad-hoc basis (paid hourly and communicated prior to arrange)
- WWCC (Blue Card)
- Police Check
- Pet friendly (Cavoodle at the 2nd property)
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Discretion and privacy for the families
