We are seeking an **Apprentice Maintenance Technician** to join the Engineering team, who are responsible for the repairs and maintenance of plant equipment in a commercial laundry facility.
As an apprentice, no day will be the same - you will be helping the team to complete preventative maintenance activities, respond to breakdowns and help ensure plant equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.
You will gain comprehensive on the job training over your 4-year apprenticeship whilst studying towards completing a **Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade** at TAFE, which the company will pay for and support you to achieve.
We are looking for an apprentice who is keen to learn and looking for a long-term career pathway as a tradesperson. Ideally, you will possess:
**About the Role**:
- Driver’s License required
- Perform maintenance activities on plant equipment including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdowns rectifications
- Respond to breakdown callouts, ensuring mínimal downtime of plant equipment
- Assist in organising and carrying out site projects, including installation of new equipment and building improvements
- Ensure plant equipment is operational at start of day and shut down at end of day
- Maintain records of assets and maintenance activities undertaken
- Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return to correct place after use
- Assist other engineering team members as required

- Hands-on approach to mechanical and technical work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Previous work experience will be highly regarded
