**About the role**

Due to ongoing growth, we are now seeking an empathetic Cremator to join our expanding team in a casual position. This role can be very rewarding knowing you have played a meaningful part in providing pet aftercare to loving pet owners.

The successful team member can expect to work approximately 20-30 hours per week with some night shift work (5 pm - 1 am). You will be based in Loganholme and may be required to work in Clontarf from time to time.

Duties will include:

- operating cremation and ashes processing equipment
- crematorium maintenance and basic repairs to site equipment
- assisting the drivers load and unload pets
- yard maintenance duties as required.

There is heavy and repetitive lifting involved, and training will be given in this area. We take pride in conducting a very ethical, neat and hygienic operation.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Be comfortable handling deceased pets
- Be strong and physically fit to be able to lift heavy pets
- Be comfortable being exposed to extreme heat and a hot work environment
- Be experienced in safe lifting procedures
- Have a positive work ethic, the pets and clients will be your first priority
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a compassionate and caring nature and be an animal lover
- Be able to work autonomously as well as part of a tight team
- Have experience in completing paperwork accurately
- Be reliable, trustworthy and take pride in your work
- Be an organised and neat worker who is committed to keeping the crematorium clean and tidy
- Have a full unrestricted drivers’ licence
