**What being an OSHC Educator Entails**

OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

**Your workspace at the Y**:
**YMCA Boondall Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service** is situated at Boondall State Primary School licensed for 150 children. We offer before and after school care from **6:00am to 9:00am** and **2:30pm to 6:00pm**, Monday to Friday. We also offer Vacation Care, operating from **6:00am to 6:00pm.**

At **YMCA Boondall OSHC**, we play, learn and nurture our children through nature and adventure play which includes barefoot play, arts and craft and outdoor adventures. We work with the school to ensure that our program is cohesive with the school principals, and behaviour systems in place. We have access to some fantastic resources at Boondall State Primary School which includes access to the basketball & netball courts, swimming pool, 1 large oval, prestigious prep playground, computer laboratory.

**To be successful you must have**:

- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
