**About the role**:
Juniper Aged Care is actively seeking detail-oriented and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated team at Juniper Rowethorpe on a casual basis. The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the kitchen, preparing food, and keeping the kitchen area clean and compliant with food safety requirements.

The responsibilities associated with this position may vary depending on the operational needs of the facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch and dinner in accordance with resident requirements/ preferences
- Providing kitchen hand services at the facility such as modifying food texture and apportioning food accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment
- Adhering to Juniper’s Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
- Ability to drive a van and deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the residents of Rowethorpe

**Key Requirements**:

- Must have valid work rights in Australia
- Previous experience in a commercial cooking or aged care catering
- Safe food handling practice and hygiene standards with experience in maintaining cleanliness
- Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, customers, and team members
- Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices and procedures for cooking operations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Must have an Australian Drivers licence
