**Role**:

- An integration aide, also known as an education support employee, plays a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs within a mainstream educational setting, working under the direction of teachers to facilitate learning and development.
- Responsibilities encompass a range of tasks, including assisting with academic studies, supporting physical and emotional wellbeing, and fostering social skills.

**Responsibilities**:
**Student Support**:

- Provide individualised or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Assist with academic studies, including literacy and numeracy, and help students understand tasks and information.
- Support the development of social skills and facilitate positive social interactions.
- Address behavioral presentations aligned with school policies and procedures.

**Teacher Assistance**:

- Assist teachers in planning routines and organising educational programs.
- Distribute and collect lesson materials.
- Prepare classrooms for learning and recreational activities.
- Assist with classroom management and supervise students.
- Support communication between teachers and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Help with administrative tasks and the organisation of excursions.

**Coordination and Communication**:

- Communicate with teachers and other support staff on routine matters related to students.
- May coordinate the work of other support staff under supervision.
