The Assistant Director, Vector Foundation Data, will assist in leading and managing a team of approximately 11 Australian Public Service employees. You will be responsible for assisting in the efficient and effective design and delivery of the National Foundation Geospatial Data program with a focus on priority high value datasets to be seamlessly integrated and shared through the Digital Atlas of Australia and other mechanisms.

You will report directly to the Director of National Geospatial Data and work closely with other Directors in the National Location Information Branch as required, as well as key stakeholders from Place and Communities Division, wider Geoscience Australia, across multiple levels of government and industry to ensure the provision of single source national foundation geospatial data, and programmatically deliver outcomes wherever possible. A key area of optimisation is the provision of foundation geospatial data and product to both the Defence and the Emergency Management communities.
