Cinebar Coolangatta is a unique restaurant-style cinema, offering a premium experience that combines delicious food, refreshing drinks, and fantastic movies. We’re seeking a reliable and professional Door Person/Security team member to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our daytime guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor upon arrival.
- Conduct bag checks to enforce our no outside food and drink policy.
- Monitor entry and exit points during operating hours to maintain safety and security.
- Provide friendly assistance to guests with inquiries about the cinema and its offerings.
- Enforce venue policies, including compliance with Queensland liquor licensing regulations.
- Address any disturbances or issues calmly and efficiently.
- Assist with crowd management during busy periods, ensuring smooth guest flow.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to move quickly.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
- A valid Queensland Security License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Availability to work daytime shifts, including weekends and school holiday periods.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Security Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
