**About the role**

Therapeutic Disability Support Workers are primarily responsible for the direct care of participants within the Accommodation and have other responsibilities that contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of the Accommodation. Other responsibilities include the areas of data collection and administration but are not limited to these areas

We are looking for Therapeutic Disability Support Workers who is committed and passionate in helping people. We need support workers in our short term accommodation located in Olympic Park and long term accommodation located in Western Sydney and South Western Sydney.

**Skills and experience**
- Certificate III in Individual Support or any related field minimum required
- Has experience working with people with disability and mental illness
- Has a valid driver's license
- Has/willing to obtain a Police Check, WWCC and NDIS Workers Screening Check

**Responsibilities**
- Work effectively and efficiently in a therapeutic manner to assist participant reach their NDIS plan goals.
- Implement the priorities identified in the NDIS Plan, and the specific goals within it
- Support participants in developing and achieving personal objectives in all aspects of their lives
- Encourage, facilitate and support positive contact between participants and their families, friends, significant others, health and mental health services, other agencies and the wider community
- All house systems, Administration folder, House Diary and Communication book is updated, read and understood.
- Ensure all participants are treated with dignity, care and respect.

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)

- Driver Licence (preferred)
