Textile Designer

**_Textile Designer | Sheridan | FTC 12 Months_**
- We are seeking a passionate and creative _**_Textile Designer_**_ to join the Sheridan design team on a fixed term contract_
- This is your chance to play a key role in one of Australia's most iconic home and lifestyle brands, where your artistic talents will help shape the next collection of luxurious and commercially successful têxtiles._

About the role:_**
- In this role, you will develop original artwork—hand-drawn, painted, or digital—that brings our design direction to life. You'll collaborate closely with our design team, using your skills to translate trends and concepts into finished designs across print, weave, embroidery and more._

Key Responsibilities:_**
- _ Create and develop artwork in line with design direction, briefs, and technical specifications_
- _ Prepare technical spec packets for production and review supplier samples, including repeats and colour separations_
- _ Maintain accurate and accessible artwork files and archives_
- _ Research trends and interpret market knowledge with a commercial lens_
- _ Collaborate with design, product development, and graphic teams_
- _ Support a safe and professional studio environment_

About You:_**:

- You’re an enthusiastic designer with a keen eye for colour, texture, and repeat layout._
- You're fluent in Adobe Suite and love turning ideas into tangible beauty._

You’ll also bring:_**
- _ A tertiary qualification in Textile Design or similar_
- _ 2-3 years’ experience in a similar têxtile design role_
- _ Strong drawing, painting, and rendering skills along with commercial creativity_
- _ High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines_
- _ Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset_
