**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
Leidos is partnering with Defence to deliver a critical cybersecurity capability for the strategic platform underpinning their on-premise networks. Our team plays a key role in providing robust, forward-thinking cybersecurity services that directly support the Department’s mission.
We’re seeking collaborative, capable professionals to help us strengthen and evolve this essential capability. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established engagement and make a meaningful impact on how cybersecurity is delivered within Defence.
**What You’ll Do**
As part of our cyber engineering team, you’ll support the capabilities that our 24x7 Cyber Analysts rely on to protect Defence systems. You'll work in a supportive and innovative environment, drawing on your experience to help ensure these systems are secure, reliable, and effective.
We’re looking for a people-focused leader to guide a team of cybersecurity professionals and help maintain a strong security engineering function for our customer.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a cybersecurity engineering team supporting key security tools and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Mentor and support the development of junior team members
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of security updates and infrastructure
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and manage product lifecycles
- Support network monitoring and incident response activities
- Perform integration and functional testing
**About You**
- Experienced in leading and coordinating diverse professional teams
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experienced with cybersecurity tools (e.g. Trellix, Splunk, Tenable, Palo Prisma)
- Consistently deliver high-quality results in complex technical environments and have commitment to continual improvement and shared success
- Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders
- This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, hold a minimum NV-1 level security clearance and be able to upgrade._
