Arborist

**Working fulltime hours as a Casual in a Local Council as a Arborist.**

**Pay rate $33.76 per hour.**

**About our client and Role**

Our client's in the inner Melbourne suburbs are a Local Council who are after a capable and hard working arborist to join their team.

The position is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a council whilst earning a good hourly pay rate.

**Position**:

- Assists in the management of Councils tree population to be healthy, provide high amenity and remain a low risk of causing injury to the community and damage to property.
- Inspect and report on arboriculture matters
- Provide high quality arboriculture advice and technical support to Council staff, business units, and relevant service authorities.
- Provide excellent Customer Service so that the Community is satisfied in the way that Council delivers tree management services including tree replacement.

**Essential**:

- Certificate/ Diploma/ High level National accreditation in Arboriculture (cert 3 or higher is highly desired) combined with experience in tree management
- Experience in the planning and completion of work programs within agreed timeframes and to specified standards is desired
- Demonstrated excellence in providing customer service to internal and external clients
- High level of tree access skills via elevated platform and clibming, including aerial resue and tree rigging
- Current ESI Powerline Vegetation Control
- Current elevated work platform
- Current MR Driver’s Licence or greater (Heavy ridged truck licence would be advantageous)
- Chainsaw ticket is required

A Police Check and Working with Children's check are required for this role upon successful placement.
