FP&A Analyst

SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Finance Director, Australia and New Zealand, the FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting the business in the areas of financial planning, modelling, annual budgeting, and management reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Providing key financial analysis and reporting by managing various monthly quarterly and yearly reporting processes including preparation of presentations for financial and operational management reviews-
- Ownership of the annual operating budget and forecast (P&L and Working Capital) including providing value-add variance analysis, reporting and managing corporate deadlines-
- Maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish objectives and measure financial and operational performance of businesses based on trends, history and forecast-
- Inventory forecasting - Liaising with Purchasing and S&OP teams to finalize monthly reporting and alignment of forecast including tracking accuracy-
- Assist in presentations to support monthly/quarterly US Corporate Finance meetings-
- Prepare financial information for customer presentations-
- Regularly track sales and margin and provide insight on variance to comparatives. This includes sales price and COGS analysis-
- Identifying areas of potential risk, under-performance, improvement and other opportunity and work with other areas of business to mitigate or promote these-
- Assist and help execute problem solving expertise to different internal stakeholders-
- Collation of month-end, year-end reporting and audit requirements-
- Project management of ad hoc tasks and automation of processes-
- Adhere to high professional standards and personal integrity-
- Assist in maintaining Watts’ culture of excellence and teamwork-
- Promote Watts’ vision and valuesINTERNAL & EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS:

- Sales & Operations TeamEDUCATION:
- Degree in Finance or related tertiary qualification.-
- CPA qualified.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- 3+ years + experience in a similar role-
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analytics including sales reporting (margin analysis focus)-
- Ability to develop meaningful FP&A reporting and complete analysis at a detailed level-
- Proven experience in business partnering at a senior level-
- Ability to present to a wider stakeholder group locally.-
- Extensive hands-on experience in high transaction-volume commercial environments-
- Advanced Excel, Intermediate PowerPoint and MS Office Suite skills-
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels-
- Analytical with keen attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.-
- Demonstrates appropriate professional workplace behaviour that are in line with the company values, policies and procedures-
- Relevant ‘FMCG’, wholesale, manufacturing or industry experience-
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and mentality-
- Proven experience in planning and prioritising work-
- Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
