**The Position**

The Store person is accountable for managing the finished goods and raw materials warehouse.

This is a hands on role based around stock control and warehousing. The scope of the duties include stock movement, receiving goods, despatching goods, order picking, operating warehouse equipment, counting stock.

**Duties will include, but not limited to**:

- Maintain a clean warehouse (and surrounds) by use of the floor sweeper or other equipment required
- Ensure warehouse machinery equipment is maintained in safe and effective working order.
- In conjunction with the Logistics Manager optimise warehouse layout
- Advise Logistics Manager of any issues relating to equipment safety and performance along with any building repairs and maintenance required
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. E.g. machines operated in a safe manner, personal protective equipment is used, reporting of incidents, accidents and near misses, housekeeping, hazardous materials storage.
- Receive and check inwards goods - ensure quality and quantity are correct
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Order pick and prepare orders for despatch
- Accuracy is a key performance indicator
- Assist Logistics Manager with pallet management
- Assist Logistics Manager with inventory control and stock counts as directed
- Any other duties deemed reasonable by management

**Qualifications & Skills**
- ** Experience operating a forklift with a valid forklift licence is essential**:

- Demonstrated competence and experience in warehouse systems and inventory management
- Computer skills
- Car License & reliable vehicle
- Experience in Excel, Word
- Physically able to perform warehouse duties, lifting involved
- Safe manual handling operations
- Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety Procedures
