**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rheumatology Research Assistant to support key research projects involving patients at Monash Rheumatology Clinics. This role is vital to ensuring ethical and governance compliance while coordinating daily project operations. With responsibilities across project management, communication and reporting, the position is essential to the smooth and timely delivery of research activities.
Working with academic and clinical researchers, the Research Assistant will help plan and coordinate projects, prepare ethics and governance documentation and manage administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining records. The role includes data collection and entry and offers the chance to contribute to publications and conference presentations. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong organisational skills.
We are looking for someone with an honours degree or higher in a relevant discipline or equivalent research experience. A solid understanding of research methodologies is essential, and experience with platforms like STATA or RedCap is highly valued. Strong communication, analytical skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are key to success in this fast-paced and collaborative environment.
