Security Technician

**About the Company**

We are a Canberra-based electronic security and communications company, delivering professional solutions across CCTV, alarms, and structured cabling systems. We are looking for a skilled and motivated technician to join our growing team on a long-term basis.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, maintain, and service electronic security systems, including:

- CCTV surveillance systems
- Alarm systems
- Access control systems _(preferred but not mandatory)_
- Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and system testing.
- Install and certify structured cabling (Cat 5e, Cat 6/6A), intercoms, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, building plans, and technical documents.
- Deliver system demonstrations and support to clients.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with Work Health & Safety regulations.

**Skills & Attributes**
- Minimum **2 years' experience** in the security or electronics industry.
- Hands-on experience with brands such as **Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Paradox, or Inner Range**.
- Strong understanding of electronic systems and diagnostics.
- **Ability to work independently or as part of a team**.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

**Requirements**:

- **Open Cabler Registration** with structured cabling endorsement _(mandatory)_
- **White Card** _(mandatory)_
- **Security Installer Licence (ACT)** or willingness to obtain
- **Driver’s Licence** (manual or automatic)
- Must be eligible to work in Australia:

- Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents
