FHS Poly is looking for an enthusiastic team builder as a Poly Fabricator - Leading Hand, in a full-time role at our Victorian, Seaford facility, reporting to the Production / Technical Sales Manager.

Located in Seaford, Victoria, **FHS Poly** are one of Australia’s leading suppliers to construction and infrastructure projects of bespoke poly fabrications, poly pipe & fittings and plastic welding equipment for the Plumbing, Civil, Gas, Water, Aquaculture, Industrial, Mining sectors, and more, since 1994.

At FHS Poly we:

- manufacture plastic fabrications in house from sheet and pipe material
- manufacture extruded weldrod in house
- stock and sell poly pipes and fittings to the general market
- import and resell poly welding equipment including butt welding, electrofusion, extrusion and socket welding, along with all associated tooling
- service welding equipment and provide spare parts for plastic welding equipment
- hire plastic welding equipment and tooling
- provide training in plastic welding competency-based skills

With recent increases in demand, FHS Poly is now expanding their team and are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic **poly fabricator - leading hand**at our Seaford facility in Victoria.

Key Responsibility:

- Fabrication Productivity and Quality

General Role and Responsibilities:

- Assists Fabrication Sales Manager in production scheduling
- Monitors work flow and manages resources to meet production schedule deadlines
- Performs fabrications from PE pipe / sheet etc including accurate mark up and measure, cutting, PE welding, trimming and finishing
- Aids others by displaying leadership, coaching and instruction
- Safe operation of Band Saws, Drop Saws, Drills, CNC Machines, Butt Welders, Extrusion Welders, Socket Welders etc
- CNC machining and operation
- Works in a safe manner and performs a pre-start checklist before commencement of work
- Regular checking of machines during operation
- Ensures regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Responsible for the quality of their own work and others work
- Leads a team environment
- Exercises discretion within their level of skills and training
- Identifies basic faults in materials and equipment
- Interacts harmoniously with employees
- Adapts to a changing work environment

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Plastic Fabrication, Butt Welding, Extrusion Welding, Socket Welding
- Ten (10) of experience
- Exceptional customer service skills and a can-do attitude
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, inspiring and empowering other members to work smarter, harder resulting in being more efficient striving to achieve their full potential.

Desirable
- First-aid certification
- Forklift Licence

- Normal hours: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursdays & 7am - 1pm Fridays.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Poly Fusion welding: 5 years (preferred)
- general fabrication: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
