State government authority looking to engage an A06 Senior Procurement Officer

**Your new company**

Hays Procurement is currently recruiting for a state government authority looking to engage an A06 Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer for their Goods and Services team.

**Your new role**

In your new role, you will be responsible for a range of procurement activities, these include but not limited to;
- Delivering high quality procurement advice.
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process, covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound Category Management functions and administration activities.
- Ensure policies and procedures are met in accordance with state procurement policies.
- Negotiating and speaking with key internal and external stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects and contracts effectively and efficiently.
- Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent would be highly desirable.
- Experience in SAP.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be working within a well-established team offering a 6-month contract with potential for extension.
