The role
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality pathology services by performing diagnostic sample collections, including blood samples, while adhering to Pathology Queensland's identification, labelling, and processing policies. You will support laboratory operations through general duties such as specimen receipt, data entry, cleaning, and restocking. Compliance with safety policies, service quality standards, and NATA/ISO accreditation requirements is essential, alongside seeking supervisory guidance for changes in work practices and maintaining accurate records.
Key to your success will be your ability to collect samples from diverse patient groups, including children and babies, and perform laboratory tests with accuracy and diligence. You will work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and demonstrate a commitment to workplace equity, health, and safety practices. Applicants must be able to work independently following instruction, and eligibility for permanent or temporary employment in Australia must be confirmed.
