Conservation and Ecosystem Management Traineeship

Want to give back to your local community? Have a passion for preserving reserves and wetlands?

Maxima, in partnership with The Adelaide Hills Council, is looking for a green thumb to undertake a fulltime, 3-year traineeship within Conservation and Ecosystem Management.

This position will see you working alongside experienced supervisors, gaining industry knowledge, and studying towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management**.

**Benefits**:

**Duties Include**:

- Brush cutting
- Weed and pest control
- Collect and propagate native seeds
- Implement revegetation works
- Undertake sampling and testing of soil and water

S**kills and Knowledge**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
- Works effectively in a team and unsupervised
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Has a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job

**Role Requirements**:

- Provisional or full driver’s licence with own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (advantageous)
