**About us**

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

**About the role**
- Undertake technology projects under limited direction designed to contain or lower costs, improve services, implement new technology, develop policy, and set standards relevant to the technical environment of all Victorian Courts
- Conduct the research and evaluation of IT products and services. Identify risks, opportunities, faults, and areas for technical development within the courts IT framework relating to the project scope
- Provide authoritative advice that conveys specialist concepts and policies to the judiciary and management regarding technology development, and its impact upon the workplace including changes to products, procedures, and business operations
- Formulate and deliver training programmes relating to court technology including planning, design, coordination, and delivery. Monitor their effectiveness and provide feedback to management and users. Develop operating guidelines, materials, and documentation
- Provide quality support to the Service Delivery Manager and General Manager of Technology Services in delivering high quality technology solutions
- Develop and maintain required operational procedures and the Courts IT Knowledge base
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with IT suppliers to the courts including Technology Services and monitor the contract and performance of IT service providers.

**About you**
- Knowledge of practices and procedures pertaining to the operations of the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, would be highly desirable
- Experience in testing, training, and implementation of business information systems
- Skills in designing, reporting, documenting, and implementing technology solutions
- Knowledge of industry best practices and experience with both hardware and software systems
- Ability to work independently and knowledge of agile team structures
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews or focus groups and facilitation of workshops
- Excellent verbal and written communications, including illustration/desktop publishing skills.
