Hawksworth have partnered with a Global Financial to on-board a
**Data Governance Consultant.** This is a permanent role based in Sydney, with hybrid working arrangements (1 day in the office and 4 at home).

As the Data Governance Consultant, you’ll will be joining the Data Governance Tribe of this major Global giant to drive and uplift implementation of effective data governance to ensure that data is governed and managed across data lifecycle and treated as an organisational asset.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Developing and maintaining the data governance policies and data standards in line with the strategy and data frameworks.
- Supporting the growth and drive the data maturity uplift of Data Governance practice across Business Data domains.
- Coaching the business on key data governance functions and foster a data culture of accountability across the business to maintain organisation’s data assets.
- Supporting Data Stewards to implement data management frameworks and processes for key business competencies.
- Developing performance and operational metrics to measure and track the effectiveness of data governance implementation.
- Providing continual support to the established Data Governance bodies such as Data Stewards, Data Owners and data working groups and stakeholders to deliver data management capabilities covering people, process and data.
- Supporting the Data Governance capability uplift working with data office data governance team.

**Experience**:

- **Experience in Data Governance and Data Management practises with focus on business data domains.**:

- **Experience in implementation of data governance processes and tools for data governance, data quality management, data modelling, master and meta data management.**:

- Strong understanding of Data Stewardship functions and their operations.
- Ability to communicate abstract data management concepts into business related terminology.
- Highly developed 'first principles' problem-solving skills, combined with a curious and creative mind-set.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
