About the opportunity

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and based at our Lawnton (qld) site, you will ensure consistent production and product quality.

We are looking for Operators to come and learn how to operate our machines and manufacture paper packaging products for our customers.

As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:
Achieve productivity targets set for the machine

Set up the machine according to specifications

Maintain run speed and efficiency according to specifications

Minimize downtimes by finding better ways to perform tasks

Proactively prepare for the next jobs to ensure smooth production flow

Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machines function optimally

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain quality standards

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety regulations

Document production activities and report any issues to supervisors

About You

What you’ll need:
A serious commitment to workplace safety and the ability to lead by example

Eagerness to learn and grow professionally

Ability to work with integrity, display initiative and be a reliable team player

Experience in similar environments, including operating machines, performing machine changeovers and carrying out minor maintenance tasks

An understanding of and commitment to achieving quality and efficiency targets

Strong mechanical skills and a preference for hands-on work

Physical fitness and the ability to stay on your feet all day, working with manual machine components.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
