PSP are exclusively recruiting a Community Engagement Partner on behalf of the City of Whittlesea. Reporting directly to the Strategic Community Engagement Partner, this position will support a corporate approach to community engagement.

The role will provide specialist advice and engagement support to departments across the organisation. Including providing support to the development of engagement plans and administer internal committee and working groups to implement Councils Community Engagement Policy.

Key responsibilities
- Develop engagement plans with project teams using traditional and contemporary practices to increase public participation in decision-making.
- Assist in coordinating community engagement activities across the organisation including the development of Council’s engagement schedule.
- Collect and analyse data and research to develop community engagement strategies, including strategies to diverse groups.
- Oversee content on Council’s community engagement platform to ensure it is brand consistent and on message.
- Collaborate with communication partners and other relevant teams across Council to ensure engagement plans are targeted and effective and messaging is consistent across all channels.

Essential Skills and Experience required:

- Tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in Community Engagement or a related discipline, ideally in the Public Sector/Service.
- A track record of understanding, commitment to, and achievements in community participation and engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to identify practice improvements and gain commitment from staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in developing digital content.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects and prioritising competing demands and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and research to develop community engagement strategies.
- IAP2 qualification - desirable

Salary - Local Council Band 6 - Approx $91K - $99K + Super. (depending on experience)
