**Communications advisor **to join a Local Government in Sydney on a full time basis for the next 6 months.
- _ASAP contract for 6 months._
- _Council based in Sydney’s South_
- _$70 - $80 per hour + super (negotiable)_

**Communications Advisor**

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a large, friendly team situated in Sydney’s South. Offering great flexibility in terms of hybrid/WFH.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To review and refresh all standard customer communications including correspondence, reports and website content.
- Develop and implement a communications plan on new services in the Development Assessment area.
- Support the analysis of customer journeys and identifying opportunities for enhancements, with a particular expertise on communication and customer engagement.
- To provide professional advice and support to the business units that support effective communications and customer experience.

**Key criteria**:

- Relevant degree or diploma qualification.
- Solid experience in the communications field, preferably in a government agency context.
- Excellent written communication skills and a proven ability to craft clear, engaging content, tailoring the approach to suit diverse channels and specific stakeholder groups.
- A strong customer focus and ability to translate complex information to meet customer needs and support a positive customer experience.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proven capacity to build productive relationships, confidently influence, negotiate and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders.
- The ability to interpret and analyze a wide breadth of information and issues
- Strong time management skills and an ability to manage competing deadlines and be agile in response to emerging priorities.
