About the role

Are you a passionate personal carer who wants to make a real difference to the lives of residents? If you answered yes, then join the team at Calvary Kirralee, located in Ballarat.

The Personal Care Worker role is instrumental in ensuring that we are providing high quality care to our residents at all times. This is a Casual position with with potential for permanent part time with a set roster. This role also offers flexible working hours that suit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident’s plan of care.
Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence

About you

Certificate III in individual support, or equivalent recognised qualification
Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self esteem
Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
