Selective/Scholarship Tutor (John Monash Science School/Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences)
Embark on a fulfilling role as a Selective/Scholarship Entrance Tutor, dedicated to preparing students for success in their exams. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about education and committed to helping students excel in their academic pursuits.
**Responsibilities**
- **Focused Instruction**: Provide targeted tutoring sessions to prepare students for Selective or Scholarship entrance exams, delivering content in an engaging and effective manner.
- **Customised Learning**: Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they grasp essential concepts and strategies for exam success.
- **Progress Tracking**: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their performance.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Head Tutor and other team members to align tutoring strategies with the overall curriculum goals.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- **Educational Background**: Either completed or currently attending a Selective High School with a minimum of 2+ Superiors or 2+ Top 20%’s, or obtained/holding a Scholarship at a Grammar school with a minimum of 30% scholarship or above. (Preference for John Monash Science School initially but looking to hire for General selective/Scholarship towards November)
- **Experience**: Familiarity with one or more of the following testing systems: ACER, EduTest, Selective High School, SEAL, HAST, NAPLAN, Opportunity Class.
**Location**
- Melbourne, Victoria
- Preferably located close to Monash University, Clayton
**Requirements**:
- Team: Education
- Pay: $35-40 per hour (dependent on experience and age)
- Hours: Upwards of 12 hours per week
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 - 12 per week
**Experience**:
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
