Coordinator Outside School Hours Care Bracken Ridge

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

We are currently recruiting for a **Coordinator** on a **full-time basis, 38 hours per week** to join our team at **YMCA Norris Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.**

In this position, you will be the leader of the service responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the other Coordinators, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

**Your workspace at the Y**

**YMCA Norris Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is located in Bracken Ridge and is the homeland of the Turrbal and Jagera people. The service is licensed for 135 children and offers before school care, after school care and vacation care from 630am and 6pm.

Our building is situated on the senior oval offering an extensive variety of indoor and outdoor experiences, such as outdoor play equipment, oval, undercover area, and multi-courts. Additionally, we have use of the school hall for a range of rainy day and indoor activities. We provide a healthy, delicious and inclusive menu offering vegetarian and dietary requirement alternatives.

**As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with**:

- The development of quality programs;
- Manage the day to day running of the programs;
- Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff;
- Ensure compliance with policy;
- Undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:

- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
