We are a leading Cabinetmaking wholesaler in the Dandenong South area and seeking a general hand with experience in a manufacturing environment, to join our great team.

We will provide on-the-job training to operate various machinery including our two CNC routers, our edge-banders and various other equipment. If you are seeking to commence or continue a relevant apprenticeship, we will also be willing to support you in this. We support career progression and provide excellent working conditions.

You will work with advanced technology and excellent people in our busy, yet friendly environment.

The general duties will include but are not limited to:

- Assembly
- Operate power tools
- Deliveries and pick up of goods as required
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks
- Machine Operation assistance (training provided)

To be successful in this role, you are required to meet the following criteria:

- An excellent attitude towards work and other people (customers, co-workers, and management)
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence + No previous licence suspensions
- Be physically fit and can work at a fast pace
- Strong commitment to Occupational Health & Safety
- Experience with hand tools
- Previous experience in assembly
- Reliable, flexible and have attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- A current forklift licence is preferred but not essential

The core hours of this role are 7 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, however overtime at penalty rates is regularly available.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Signing bonus

COVID-19 considerations:
Being a wholesale manufacturer we have very limited exposure to the public. We have daily professional COVID cleaning of frequently touched surfaces etc, and effective leadership to ensure symptomatic workers are home resting.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
