**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated **AutoCAD operator**. The role provides the crucial link between the creative work of the Design Studio and our Production and Warehouse departments. The role principally creates component lists from design detailing that ensures floor plans and individual jobs are accurate and timely. You will be part of team of staff that builds some of the largest exhibitions in Australia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Receive a raw floor plan from the client, typically in PDF format, which is imported into the appropriate building and halls. Exhibition construction procedures are then implemented by ensuring proper distances from external walls, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and the width of walkways etc.
- Create the stands and structures using elements and templates saved in the AutoCAD system.
- Create a floor plan with layers that allows for the separation of different components, such as carpet layers, electrical systems, and construction elements.
- Convert the AutoCAD bill of materials to Excel, where the data needs to be sorted and filtered before being transferred to the inventory software to generate a warehouse work order.
- Consolidate individual work files and add to main floor plan.
- Proof and re-proof plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and limit mistakes.
- Communicate with other team members including designers, account managers and production staff.
- Superior AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficiency in other design packages such as SketchUp is desirable.
- Experience in working with floor plans.

- Ability to undertake multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
