**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Ertech have partnered with the country's leading defence authority to deliver pioneering projects that provide critical marine and onshore infrastructure off the coast of Western Australia. The projects will have international scope and present unique challenges and opportunities.

Initially working from our Balcatta office, this individual will then mobilise to Garden Island working Monday - Friday during project delivery, expected to commence late 2025.

**Your role**:

- Identify potential risks associated with the handover process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition without delays or disputes
- Act as the primary point of contact for our client and other stakeholders throughout the handover process, ensuring all requirements and expectations are met
- Oversee the inspection of completed works to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards. Address any non-conformance issues before handover
- Ensure all required documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranties are completed, reviewed and handed over to the client according to project requirements
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure all systems, infrastructure and services are tested and commissioned prior to handover
- Facilitate client training on new systems and equipment

**Your background**:

- Prior HOTO (handover / takeover) management or Project Management experience, preferably within civil construction or Defence projects
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, quality assurance, compliance standards, and handover documentation requirements
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, coordinate teams, and ensure milestones are met, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
- Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with clients, contractors and stakeholders, with the ability to resolve issues and negotiate solutions
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance, as required for working on Department of Defence projects
