About the Role

Reporting to the Divisional Manager Residential, this role will be expected to ensure the Facility maintains a high-quality level of consumer centered care and services for their customers and stakeholders across all aspects focused on the consumer’s whole person’s well-being experience while partnering with consumers to provide the best possible care and services to meet the consumer’s choices, needs and preferences. The Residential Care and Services Manager will provide leadership to their local team enabling and influencing them to perform at their best within the Baptcare business and value framework.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with consumers by seeking their views to provide the highest level of consumer-centered care

Provide consistent, clear, and supportive leadership to the complex mix of stakeholders the Manager is responsible for in nominated area.

Ensure all aspects of Resident clinical services reflect an understanding of Aged Care legislation, regulations and relevant state guidelines.

Ensure workforce interactions with consumers are kind, caring, welcoming and respectful of each consumer’s identity, culture.

Ensure staff are recruited, trained, assessed, and equipped to deliver the outcomes required by consumers in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Ensure provision of high-quality care to the consumers is being delivered focused on the consumer’s needs, goals and preferences

Promote and maintain contemporary policies, procedures and practices to ensure quality outcomes for all consumers.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive consumer focused profile to all stakeholders.

Demonstrate sound financial management and an understanding of Residential business model (income and expenditure) to maximize the income that supports the Facility operations.

Ensure all site staff adhere to Baptcare’s Human Resources Policies, procedures and clauses in the Certified Agreement.

Promote a learning environment for staff and encourage development of individuals / teams to produce progressive, consumer focused outcomes.

Ensure compliance & understanding of WHS requirements in relation to minimizing Organisation risk and maintaining a safe environment for all.

Participate in the Organisational strategic planning and Quality development.

Maintain the Facility at optimal operational level (building, environment and equipment)

Contribute to continuous improvement

Manage and monitor clinical performance and effectiveness to enable effective clinical governance

About You

You will have previous experience and proven ability to lead a team of staff and maximise outcomes in performance and Resident care. With outstanding communication skills, you will promote a consumer focused service - internally and externally - and be confident in leading individuals to be successful in their given role.

Together with your commercial acumen and budgeting experience, you will be required to contribute to continuous improvement activities to support the growth and consistent uplift of the services offered.

**You will ideally bring the following**:
Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within Aged Care (acute or aged care)

Tertiary qualification in related field (Health or Aged Care)

Satisfactory police check or willingness to obtain

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Experience in the re-accreditation process and related assessment visits conducted by the Australian Aged Care Quality Safety Commission (AACQSC)

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Management, Finance or Health discipline or working toward the same. (Desirable)
