Music Tutor

Guitar Tutor Commuter is a mobile music school made up of passionate music tutors who provide music lessons in students' homes all around Sydney. Some of our tutors also provide lessons from their home studios or online to students who prefer these alternatives. We offer great flexibility to our tutors in regards to when they would like to teach. Guitar Tutor Commuter takes pride in the fact that we pay our tutors fairly with an attractive hourly rate well above the industry average because we value their hard work and consistency.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic tutors who can teach any of the following:

- Guitar (electric/acoustic/classical)
- Bass
- Ukulele
- Piano
- Drums/Percussion
- Voice
- Composition
- Music Theory

That being said, we are also welcoming of tutors who teach other instruments

If you are patient, a good communicator, friendly, dedicated, knowledgeable and love music nearly as much as the rest of us then fill out the form and we can work towards setting you up with some students.

Please note that you will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) and Working With Children Check (WWCC) in order to be accepted for this position. These are not difficult to acquire so feel free to ask us for help.

Flexible hours. You will start with one student and can continue to grow this number depending on how many hours you are looking to work. Some of our tutors have between 20-30 weekly students while others have 5-10. It's ultimately up to you.

We are primarily looking for tutors who are based in Sydney and willing to travel within their area as the majority of our students receive lessons in their homes.

The minimum rate of lessons in the student's home is $60/hour. There is a lower rate for online lessons and lessons in the tutor's home. All rates are open to negotiation.
