We have a great opportunity for a safety professional to advise and partner with the business for all HSE matters and safety culture improvements.
Based at Huntingwood, the OHS Advisor’s main purpose is to effectively implement the planned and reactive safety activities for the Huntingwood Distribution Centre ensuring consistency with the Metcash Safety Health and Environmental Plan, best practice and applicable legislative requirements
What you’ll do
Partner with the Logistics Management Team to prioritise and plan the review, development and implementation of health and safety risk management strategies
Execute a working plan to ensure that key risk areas are reviewed, updated and implemented within designated timeframes
Manage the planned and reactive activities of the safety support team
Collaborate with the Safety, Health & Environment team
Review existing risks and controls for the NSW Logistics Pillar against current standards, legislative requirements and Metcash national requirements.
Develop new risk assessments and control strategies as required
Manage all OHS documentation in line with requirements and proaciveatiely share information across different stakeholders
What you’ll bring

Robust analytical skills
Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
Skilled in MS Office and systems that support incident reporting
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
3 Years’ experience in an OH&S environment
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be highly regarded
