The opportunity:
A new opportunity is available for an experienced Condition Monitoring Analyst to join the Komatsu business based in Welshpool with site travel required.
In this role you will be responsible for providing analyst services to the Komatsu business and customers. This specialist service is designed to provide both a proactive machine health assessment and a troubleshooting capability for Komatsu.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct and report on Vibration Analysis surveys taken from rotating components and machines using specialised test equipment and software
- Carry out Thermography surveys as required
- Analyse and report on Oil Analysis surveys
- Provide Condition Monitoring training and consultation services to Komatsu employees
- Establish and maintain working relationships with each customer’s reliability personnel while aiming to improve data collection capability
- Assist the Reliability Engineers to develop and manage the optimisation of advanced Condition Monitoring techniques and strategies on equipment as required by the business.
The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:
- Electrical or Mechanical trade or engineering background
- Condition Monitoring qualification Vibration CAT 2 (VCATII) or equivalent accreditation is essential
- Extensive knowledge of Heavy mobile equipment
- The ability to communicate with the Customer, Komatsu and Site personnel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills
- Be competent in the analysis of machine vibration signal data to prepare analysis reports on faults / System related problems.
- Highly competent in using data loggers and analysis of data
