**The Company**

Stacked Farm is Australia’s first end-to-end automated, indoor vertical farm. Their pioneering facility produces year-round crops with commercial scalability, achieving the highest yields whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and food safety without compromising taste, nutrition or price point.

**The Role**

As the plant ramps up production and development, they are now seeking a motivated, energetic, highly specialised scientific biologist to join the team at their new Arundel facility. The facility will be used for R&D, staging of future facility builds and continue to be at the very forefront of the development of plant health and growth conditions. Reporting to the Lead Horticulturist, the role responsibilities of the Plant Biologist include:

- Measure and analyse plants using microscopic instruments to determine issues at a cellular level
- Develop and improve nutrient recipes for hydroponic growing
- Determine and communicate the impact of different nutrients on plant performance
- Specify and obtain lab tests both in-house and using third party providers
- Measure and analyse plant data reporting valuable information throughout the business
- Work alongside and give input to machine vision learning and software development team and implement new technologies

**The Person**
- Exceptional plant nutrition knowledge
- Significant plant laboratory experience
- Experience with research and trial protocols is viewed as essential
- Prior knowledge of hydroponic farming is desirable
- Technical understanding of the effects of different wavelengths from PAR to plants would be beneficial
- Organisation, focus and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal and documentation skills
