Our client is a corporate farming business with a diverse portfolio of broadacre dryland cropping properties.
They are seeking a Farm Hand for one of their key properties in the Junee region of NSW.
This role is a very hands-on role reporting directly to the Farm Manager. We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated and conscientious person. Knowledge and experience in dryland broadacre cropping will be advantageous and there is the possibility of career progression with the company.
We are seeking a Farm Hand with an excellent understanding of dryland cereal / canola / legume production and associated use of tractors and controlled traffic / precision farming equipment from planting through to harvest.
You will be involved in key planting, operational and harvesting aspects of production. You will work with a tight knit team in a highly integrated business.
The role calls for someone who understands the urgency of Cereal farming, with an emphasis on forward planning. You must be well organised, methodical and timely.
Duties Include:
- Operation of tractors, spray rigs, harvesters and various agricultural implements used in large scale cereal production.
- Use of Precision Ag Systems (Greenstar)
- Machinery infield maintenance
- Cereal crop production experience / horticultural crop production
- Excellent tractor and machinery experience ( Precision Ag)
- Knowledge and experience in machinery maintenance,
- Be self motivated, adaptable and have a practical and innovative approach to the workplace.
- Current licenses including Truck would be an advantage.
- Applicants must be physically fit, prepared to work outdoors and be willing to learn aspects of the position.
