We have a fantastic opportunity in our **Gordon Lodge** facility at the Air Force Memorial Estate in **Bull Creek** for an out-of-the-box and forward-thinking **Occupational Therapy Assistant** As an Occupational Therapy Assistant with RAAFA, you will be understanding the needs and issues of our residents and deliver exceptional care in the way of implementing therapy programs including group and individual activities. You will also be required to supervise volunteers who are assisting with therapy programs, complete documentation and reporting in relation to this role and communicate with Allied Health and Clinical Teams on the outcome of programs for our residents.

**This a part-time role with requirements to work Mondays.**

**The role and you**:

- Assist in the implementation of therapy programs including group and individual activities;
- Assist in assesing resident's needs and preferences and help develop appropriate programs in relation to the individual;
- Supervise volunteers who are assisting with the program;
- Complete documentation and reporting in relation to the role;
- Communicate with Allied Health and Clinical teams on the outcome of programs for the residents.

**About the Facility**:
Set on 11 hectares of land in Bull Creek, Gordon Lodge is a refurbished 62 bed Residential Care Centre located in the heart of AFME village in Bull Creek. The lodge offers permanent, respite and secure dementia care. Gordon Lodge has 51 single rooms with en-suites and a secure 11 bed wing for people living with dementia that has single bedrooms and shared bathrooms.

**What you need to do**:

- Completed Cert III in Allied Health or equivalent qualification;
- Experience working in the Aged Care Industry;
- Enjoy building positive relationships with residents their families and staff;
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
- Be up to date with your covid 19 and flu vaccinations;

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $31.94 - $33.47 per hour
