**About the role**:
As a **Teacher Partner,** you will be responsible for supervising the accreditation process for provisional teachers through to proficient status. You will work collaboratively as part of the Education team and the broader regional team to support quality teaching and learning programs that meet the National Quality Framework. This role has the combination of working from home and traveling across Metro VIC (mainly in Western Suburbs) to visit our teachers in 100+ early learning centres. Some regional travel may be required.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting the delivery of high quality programs in G8 centres, meeting the National Quality Framework and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Identifying Early Childhood Teachers who are eligible for teacher accreditation through collaboration with leaders, centres and individuals.
- Providing shoulder-to-shoulder support to Educators who are studying towards their teaching qualifications to ensure the successful delivery of programs.
- Providing support to the centre manager and regional teams to studying towards teachers to ensure that funding requirements are met.
- Ensuring the successful transition of studying towards teachers to becoming provisionally accredited teachers.
- Help to facilitate communities of practice for both studying towards and provisionally accredited teachers.
- Translation of the _Australian Professional Standards for Teachers_ to prior-to-school contexts to support understanding of quality evidence for children.
- Liaising and working collaboratively with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority
- Supporting individual Early Childhood Teachers to complete the accreditation process within their individual required timeframe.
- Review of individual Early Childhood Teacher evidence portfolios with written and verbal feedback of teaching practice.
- Face-to-face or online observations of teaching practice to support the development of quality teaching practice.
- Recording and auditing of required administration records in line with the New South Wales Educations Standards Authority’s processes, state-based government funding guidelines and internal documentation requirements.
- Developing training materials to support high-quality pedagogy and practice and the collection of quality evidence for Early Childhood Teachers.
- Undertaking mentoring for Early Childhood Teachers participating in G8 programs as required.
- Liaising and working collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders including G8 partners and local community networks.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent.
- Proficient teacher accreditation with the VIT Standards Authority
- Minimum 3 years experience working in the early childhood education and care sector as a practicing teacher
- Current Australian Driver’s License (mandatory)
