About us
Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential, home care, and retirement living services for senior Australians. Our dedicated team of care professionals work tirelessly to deliver personalised support and care to over 1,600 senior Australians whilst empowering them to live their lives with dignity and choice each day. Our team are supported by our passionate group of volunteers whose efforts support our vision of Meaningful Lives | Connected Communities and welcome you to join us in our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of senior Australians.

Volunteering Program with LHG
We currently have over 200 passionate volunteers who are integral to enhancing the care and support we provide our customers.

As a volunteer at Lutheran Homes Group, you will have the opportunity to engage with our residents and provide valuable support. No matter what skills you possess, there is a place for you here. Volunteering with Lutheran Homes Group offers a diverse range of opportunities that cater to various interests including:

- Assisting the Lifestyle, Catering, Resident Services, and Palliative Care Support teams
- Supporting residents in recreational activities, shopping trips, lunchtime meals, concerts, special events, and much more
- Serving as a shop assistant and provide a friendly and helpful presence to residents and visitors
- Engaging in craft sessions, bringing creativity and joy to our residents' lives
- Assisting with bus trips and driving, enabling our residents to enjoy time out in the community
- Sharing your musical talents by playing music for our residents
- Participating in reminiscing groups, fostering connections and meaningful conversations
- Getting involved with games and activities
- Supporting our residents during church services, offering spiritual companionship
- Assisting during meal times
- Making social visits, spending quality time with our residents and brightening their day

Should your Expression of Interest progress, we will be in touch with you to arrange an interview and provide two referees.

IMPORTANT: Prior to commencing as a volunteer, you will be required to provide proof of a Current NDIS worker clearance or National Police Check for the purposes of working unsupervised in aged care.
