**Job Description**:
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Operations Supervisor to effectively supervise and organize the transport of customers products to retail and commercial service stations, for our South Australian Fuels and Gases Operation. This will include the safe and cost effective distribution of products to our customers as per required schedule, management of drivers and an allocator and administrator. You will work closely staff for driver requirements and maintenance of distribution vehicles and other owned assets used in the distribution process.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Lead the team ensuring a safe and environmentally sustainable, productive workplace.
- Ensure work of the team and individuals is up to the defined standard.
- Regularly communicate with drivers and proactively recognize the positive contribution of drivers when warranted.
- Help and coach the team to efficiently complete the required work and solve underlying problems (root-cause).
- Undertake one ‘ride-along’ every six months and have a visible presence in the driver yard/lunchroom when possible.
- Audit work and ensure that it is redone when not to standard, including across teams as required.
- Deliver maximum profitability to the business and a high-quality service to customers by taking initiative, responsibility and ownership.
- Identify and report or fix problems during hand-off with others.
- Analyse monthly financial reports and prepare exception/variance reports for review.

- Previous experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry.
- Dangerous Goods knowledge would be advantageous.
- Ability to determine manpower and equipment to meet scheduled workloads
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines to meet service demands.
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers, subcontractors, operational personnel and suppliers.
- Understanding of profit and loss reporting
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
