**Your new role**
This 18 Month Contract Risk Analyst role will partner with Member Operations to enable the operation and management of their risk and incident profile in line with the Fund's Risk Management Framework. In this role, you will need to be a natural relationship builder who is influential and has the ability to provide practical and tailored risk management solutions to Member Operations business unit. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of first line activities across Member Operation business unit. In this role you will support and execute aspects of the Line 1 Risk & Controls program to mature the end-to-end control environment and have a key role in driving risk and control management assessments, thematic and incident-related management and reviews as well as support policy formulation and implementation as well as controls design advisory on strategic projects and profiling delivered risk. The outcomes of these activities will be communicated and presented to senior stakeholders through regular engagement and appropriate risk reporting/dashboards.
Some key responsibilities but not limited to;
- Supporting the risk manager and Senior Risk Analyst to ensure risk is managed in accordance with the Fund’s Risk Management Framework including risk identification and management, risk profiling, risk assessment, risk reporting and incident management. Proactively encourage the identification and reporting of key risks, key controls, incidents and findings, and development of action plans.
- Identifying systemic issues and events resulting from unidentified risks that may impact the Department.
- Interpret and adapt fund wide risk policies for implementation within the Group and liaise with Group Risk as required.
- Be the custodian of data held in within Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) system for Member Experience business units and in related spreadsheets that capture risk and incidents management data. Take ownership of the quality, accuracy and maintenance of risk and incident management data.
- Provide assistance to Project teams in providing risk management guidance, attending workshops and project meetings.
**What you’ll need**
- 3+ years’ experience in risk management, ideally working in the Financial Services
- Strong knowledge of risk, compliance frameworks as well as incident management practices
- An ability to analyse trends (risks, controls, incidents etc), diagnose problems and issues and then recommend actions dealing with underlying root causes
- Excellent oral, written communication, data presentation skills
- Experience in a Financial Services/Superannuation environment, Risk and Compliance
- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline
