**Yeronga Park Kindergarten - After Kindy Care Lead Educator**

**About the Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Professional to join the team at our Community Kindergarten to lead our brand new After Kindy Care programme.

Our two-unit Kindy provides a programme for four groups of children attending either a 2-day or 3-day a week programme. We are proud of our beautiful natural environment and extensive indoor and outdoor resources that allow us to provide a high quality educational experience. Yeronga Park Kindergarten is affiliated with C&K and is administered as an incorporated association by a committee of volunteer parents. **About You**:
We are looking for a passionate early childhood educator to join our team. Previous experience as an Early Childhood Teacher or Lead Educator is preferred. As the Lead Educator of our new After Kindy Care programme, you will be responsible for developing and leading this service in accordance with YPK and C&K standards and policies.

You will have the ability to document and assess children's learning behaviour and development using C&K’s Curriculum Approach, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework. You will have a passion for diversity and inclusion, treating all children with dignity and respect, embracing each child’s unique family and background, maintaining an environment that is inclusive and respectful of child and family cultures, values and differences.
- Term Time Position - Monday to Friday, 1:45pm to 5:45pm
- Children’s attendance is based on Queensland State School terms. Some attendance during the planning week in the last week of the January school holidays may be required.
- Ideal applicants will:
- Hold or be actively completing a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent qualification)
- Have prior experience in an early childhood setting, experience in a community kindergarten an advantage
- Hold a current working with children check (Blue Card)
- Hold current first Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates
- Education and Practice:
- Ability to plan and implement a quality, educational and child centred programme
- An enthusiasm and passion for the care and education of children in a play-based learning environment
- Experience working with and planning for children with inclusion support needs
- Demonstrated understanding of the provision of a safe, engaging, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Ability to document and assess children’s learning and development
- Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards (NQF and NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ability to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre through reflective practice

**Relationships with Children**:

- Demonstrated experience in providing practical guidance and interaction that ensures quality outcomes for children
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with families that supports each child’s needs

- Commitment towards ongoing professional development, reflection and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and team skills
