Service Technician

We are hiring immediately for a Service Technician - Mechanic - a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

What you’ll do:

- Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards.
- Carry out the total maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain the stock levels of materials required and ensure that the appropriate tools are in place and ready for use.
- Report and document component failures.
- Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment.
- Assist, support and train service crew.
- Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standard

We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:

- Trade qualification as a mechanic
- Excellent Mechanical troubleshooting skills (sound knowledge of Cummins KV, QST or Scania industrial engine products an advantage)
- Localised travel as required to other project sites/regional depots with overnight stays as required
- Use digital devices daily for work orders etc
- There will be both workshop and travel responsibilities
