Design materials and present workshops, information sessions and training sessions on various aspects of test characteristics, test preparation and test administration, and the interpretation of and use of test results. Supervise the reviewing of test items and marking schemes for tests and provide feedback to all stakeholders. Liaise and work collaboratively with other Principal Project Officers and other staff to undertake projects and coordinate activities to support all aspects of the development and administration of NAPLAN tests. Prepare test items and contribute to other activities that support the construction and marking of tests. Act as an adviser and consultant to schools to support the administration of tests and to ensure state-wide consistency of test-sitting conditions and respond to unusual or sensitive issues arising from a school's data on the tests. Mentor and develop the capability of Senior Project Officers. Support Managers of Online Assessment and NAPLAN units to transition Queensland schools to the online mode of NAPLAN through to business as usual. Lead and participate in the review of test development and test implementation processes and practices by promoting and modelling continuous improvement and innovation. Create and maintain productive and professional working relationships with clients and stakeholders. Maintain the confidentiality of all test materials and complete all work within prescribed timelines. Liaise with contractors and testing officers from other states and territories during test development to ensure curriculum alignment for NAPLAN tests and compliance with nationally agreed standards. Analyse test data to identify trends and key issues for the information of schools and other stakeholders, and to support the writing of test reports. Monitor and participate in national and state testing initiatives, and projects that contribute to curriculum and assessment issues across QCAA. Participate in other administration tasks in the testing events such as NAPLAN and External Assessment, as required by the Director. Contribute to a performance management and development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager, and through quality management and feedback to staff when leading projects and activities.
