IN-HOUSE COMMERCIAL CLEANERS - VICTORIA

UNITED WORKERS’ UNION
The United Workers Union is seeking 2 x full-time talented and experienced in-house commercial cleaners on a permanent basis based in our Victoria Offices. As a Union we stand for good secure jobs.

This role will be responsible for conducting our in-house commercial cleaning across two of our owned buildings based in Docklands and North Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to ensure that a cleaning standard is applied across all our buildings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform cleaning duties according to established standards in offices.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills.
- Dispose of waste in a proper manner and replace liners.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Other Ad hoc duties as requested i.e. adhoc project clean outs, post event cleaning, relocation of furniture and/or storage areas.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work early mornings or afternoon/evenings, Monday to Friday

To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:

- Current Police Check
- Immunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemption.

REMUNERATION
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:

- Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience
- 16% superannuation
- 4 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
