**The Division and Team**
The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney. The drone operations team, part of TMC Field Operations, consists of 65 pilots operating over 50 drones across Transport, who conduct surveying, inspections, media and incident response drone operations. Our main goal is to provide situational awareness for operators and field staff to reduce incident detection and clearance times and improve management of events and interchanges.
**The Opportunity**
We have 2-year fixed term-full time opportunities for Remote Pilots to join our Drone Operations Team in Leichhardt-Sydney. The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Chief Pilot Manager Field Tech Innovation in accordance with the TfNSW Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operators Certificate (ReOC). Remote Pilots will be primarily operating various RPAs (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) and payloads to conduct incident response and event management operations. This role will also see you travelling around Sydney and sometimes around NSW conducting surveying, photogrammetry, assets inspections and incident response to service the entire TfNSW cluster.
**What you will be involved in**
- Conduct incident and event RPA operations to provide situational awareness to our command centre.
- Conduct safe and efficient operation of the RPAs to acquire high-quality data in asset inspections, surveying, photogrammetry.
- Assist in the implementation of new technology and operations
- Perform routine maintenance of company OEM aircrafts.
- Perform pre-flight planning to include mission briefings weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) and other relevant requirements.
- Complete post-mission reports/logs.
- Assist in the development and operations of EVLOS (Extended Visual line of Sight) and BVLOS (Beyond visual line of sight) operations.
**About you**
We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong written and oral communication skill and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. To be considered for this role you must be able to work independently and in teams while maintaining rigorous attention to detail required in an operations environment.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated performance of compliance with aviation regulations (as relate to RPAS)
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated commercial RPA experience in a variety of systems and environments
- Strong experience with commercial RPA operations and knowledge of RPA Legislations
- Hold a sub 25kg Remote Pilot License (RePL)
- Hold an Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate (AROC)
- Fixed Wing license will be desirable
- IREX (Instrument Rating Examination) Certification will be desirable
- Experience with LiDAR, 3D modelling, Photogrammetry, Asset Inspections -BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) and EVLOS (Extended Line of Sight) will be desirable
- A current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to travel regularly and work outside normal working hours.

**Salary and Benefits**
