The Field Support and Safety Lead will have a dual focus supporting line managers’ accountability for the delivery of a quality support service, whilst also fostering a safe practices culture for all workers in the workplace. This role collaborates with team leaders and management across the Business portfolio, assisting employees of all abilities to assess and develop job skills to meet business and customer goals. This role provides advice and coaching to help supported employees develop vocational skills to assist them achieve their employment goals, including supporting or conducting yearly PDR assessments in collaboration with team leaders.

**Daily Procedures**
- Consults with GM, operational management, and Employment Support team to identify, prioritise and deliver tailored coaching support for supported employees within their teams.
- Schedules, and coordinates coaching programs for individual supported employees, and communicates progress to team leaders/ supervisors or local management as appropriate.
- Ensures appropriate support is available for yearly performance development reviews in collaboration with team leaders and Employment Skills Assessor. Performance Development Reviews with Supported Employees may also be conducted where team leaders are unavailable to conduct them.
- Engages with managers and their teams, to identify any follow up training or supervision that coaching has identified to achieve business operational objectives and individual employment goals.
- Makes observations of teams in working environment and collaborates with management to identify skills and coaching needs to meet job specific requirements, considering customer contract requirements and regulatory or quality standards
- Assists Quality, Systems and Accreditation Coordinator with internal reviews and inspections.
- Coordinate effective toolbox communication and coaching regarding safety matters that impact local teams.
- Worked with Quality, Systems and Accreditation Coordinator through effective communication and consultation with operational stakeholders’ to:
- Develop standardised safe work practices, developing a consistent, and flexible safety culture across Employment.
- Develop and write SWMS and SOPs to support safe and compliant workplaces, reviewing as required.
- Ensure Employment safe working practices align to Aruma policy and practices (which includes recommending improvements or adjustments)
- Prepare local teams for internal reviews and audits.
- Collaborated effectively with internal stakeholders to assess skills gaps and training needs, identifying additional coaching requirements for supported employees to meet their vocational employment goals
- Collected data and provided records or reports on the positive changes in workplace performance following implementation of coaching support
- Ensures all yearly PDRs for Supported Employees are completed to achieve local employment and business goals
- Supported Employees and their local management provided positive feedback on coaching support that was provided to achieve their employment goals.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coach individuals or small groups
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to problem-solving, pro-actively and reactively to safety and risk related matters arising in the workplace
- Sound interpersonal skills with negotiation and conflict management skills
- Sound time management and organisational skills
- Sound computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances, with a customer-centric orientation.
**Must haves OR Essential**
- A commitment to Aruma’s Code of Conduct
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or similar qualification/experience
- Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or similar qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a similar industry
- Demonstrated experience in relevant coaching and performance feedback expertise
- Previous experience working with/ training people with disabilities, or assisting with behavioural support
- Understanding of WHS requirements in the workplace
- A current driver’s license.
