This is a great opportunity for an experienced or up and coming Payroll Lead to oversee the provision of payroll administration and customer services, as well as manage a small team to achieve fortnightly payroll for our Minda workforce.
**What you will do**
Offering a high level of autonomy, and the chance to work as part of a genuinely friendly and supportive payroll team, this role will:
- Lead and coach the team, maintaining a positive and supportive work culture.
- Lead fortnightly payroll processing and respond to complex or escalated queries.
- Lead end of month and end of year processes, administration of payroll taxes, superannuation payments, taxable fringe benefits, termination payments, and increments.
- Manage employee and payroll data and systems, including troubleshooting, and testing of systems upgrades to ensure accuracy and compliance.
**What you need for success**
- The capability to oversee a small team in a medium to large organisation (circa 1000+)
- Strong customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Sound understanding of payroll practices including calculation of entitlements, tax rates, superannuation and termination payments.
- Ability to manage data integrity, test system upgrades and trouble shoot.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
- An understanding of salary packaging and FBT concessions.
**Desirable**:
- Leadership qualifications and/ or senior payroll experience.
- Experience working in disability or a similar sector, or a genuine desire to work in community.
**Other**:
- NDIS Workers Screening.
- Current unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence.
