The Mental Health Service at the Margaret Tobin Centre (MTC), within Flinders Medical Centre, is a 38 bed inpatient mental health facility within Flinders Medical Centre which works closely with other service providers to provide a patient-centred approach to care for vulnerable persons. **About the role**:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow and coordination of beds within the SALHN Mental Health division. Working closely with clinical and management staff across our inpatient, emergency departments, and community services, you will provide daily support to maintain established systems functioning over a 24-hour period. Successful applicant will get rostered on each weekend including public holidays. Training will be provided.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Promote continuity and consistency of service in collaboration with all relevant Clinical leads throughout the Division.
- Deal appropriately with mental health consumers and their families, navigating multiple complexities, diverse cultural backgrounds, and consumer expectations.
- Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents, escalating appropriately.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
